July Tubing Pack Event

Join us for a fun summer event with the Pack and help cool off this hot summer!  If you plan to attend, please RSVP via the link below.  This is important so we know the approximate size of our total party and we are able to communicate with everyone on the day of the event. RSVP here.  

Here are all the important details: 

When: Saturday, July 23rd at 10 AM

Where: Meet at Appalachian Outfitters Tubing Outpost 

Cost: $8 per person for tube rental. You may wish to bring some extra cash in case you want more than one shuttle ride.

Who can come?:  Minimum age is 4  years old

What's Included?:  All gear + one shuttle. We'll transport you and your tube to the beginning of the float where you can splash into the river and cool off. The tubing trip will take 30 to 45 minutes, but if you want more time to float, an easy nature trail, just a 10-minute hike, will take you back to the beginning to float it again (there is no limit to how many times we can float). You may also float back to the Tubing Outpost, enjoy a break in our picnic area, then return to the beginning with another shuttle ($3/person for an extra shuttle). We will plan to float the trip at least 2x, more if families are interested. 

What to bring?:  (1) Water shoes, crocs with straps, or old tennis shoes because you will want something for your feet for the 10-minute hike back to the beginning, (2) picnic lunch in a cooler that you can leave in your vehicle (optional), (3) filled water bottle, (4) sunscreen, (5) rope or bungees to tether tubes together as desired (outfitter may or may not be able to provide this), (6) waterproof bag to keep your things dry
