Pack Event: Summer Soak a Leader

This will be a fun event to get to see our scouts and meet some new ones too.

The meeting will take place on Sunday, August 16th from 3 – 4 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church.  As most of you know, August is normally our “Back to Pack” pool party, but with COVID-19 still lingering and restrictions at the Rivermist pool this year, we had to get a little creative.  So our plan for this year is to host a “Soak a Leader” drive thru party which will go something like this:

• Arrive some time during the 3 – 4 pm window and get in line if there are already other cars present…stay in your car for this part.
• Make sure you bring some sort of water-based “weapon” with you (water guns, water balloons, water buckets, etc.)  Be creative! (no pressure washers please 😊)
• When you get up to the ‘soak zone,’ your scout can step out of the car as long as they stay at least 6-feet from other non-family members and soak the leader/leaders of their choice.  Note that while the leaders won’t be soaking kids, we can’t make any assurances that kids won’t get themselves wet or ‘turn on’ a fellow scout who happens to be out of their car.  Prepare for this by bringing your own towels in case your child gets wet.
• After you are done soaking the leaders, pull on through to the re-registration table and sign your child(ren) up for the Scouting year.

Parents be sure to pick up the parent packet, popcorn info, pack shirts and pay your dues.
